In the junior production ‘Amsterdam XXX jr.’, twenty-two young people from Amsterdam investigate friendship in their city. How can you be lonely in a city with so many people around you? Is love also friendship and friendship also love? The young people scour the streets, from Oud-Zuid to Nieuw-West, in search of answers. They meet adult Amsterdammers, from twenty-four years old to eighty-four years young. From all metro directions they bring stories to the city centre, to the International Theatre Amsterdam.
Within ITA-junior, young people between the ages of 15 and 20 rehearse and perform a theatre performance for young and old under the guidance of professionals. For many of them, it is an experience for life.
